Putnam Science Academy Girls Basketball will host its team wide Shoot-a-thon on Feb 8th!

During the event every athlete will shoot 100 free throws. We are looking for sponsors for each MADE free throw.You can PLEDGE anything from .25 cents to 10 dollars per basket made or make a one-time DONATION.

Our mission at PSA is to inspire and educate young student athletes from around the world. We encourage our athletes to make life lasting connections through the sport of basketball. Our program is built on our five core values of Accountability, Pride & Passion, Respect, Communication, and Commitment. 

Fundraising Importance

This year has been extremely difficult for young student athletes all over the world. Our team is very unique in that it brings together players from 11 different countries. Due to the coronavirus pandemic we were unable to begin our season in October as originally scheduled. Fortunately, we were able to practice on campus to prepare for our season beginning in January. Each year we travel to North Carolina for the National Championship Tournament. The past two years we were fortunate to finish in 3rd place and this year we have our sights on finishing 1st.

Fundraising is a crucial part of our program, helping with travel and team gear. We are hopeful to raise enough funds to not only travel to North Carolina for Nationals but also other major events in March and April. These events are so important for our players who work tirelessly year round to reach their dreams of playing collegiate basketball. They allow our players to be properly evaluated by collegiate coaches. Typical timelines of the winter basketball season have been thrown out due to the pandemic so if possible we would love to play through the Spring.
