RISING STARS SHOOT-A-THON CHALLENGE

We could not support our student athletes in the way we do without your help! Through the generosity of our Shoot-a-thon supporters, Rising Stars continues to raise valuable funds that will enable our foundation to keep delivering resources to the players and families who need our help, especially during these challenging times. 

Social distancing does not mean we have to be alone! Lets stay connected and positive, and hopeful that we will have the opportunity to get back on the court together!

We are still urging our players to secure donations, shoot their foul shots, and help to make a difference with the Rising Stars 501c3 Youth Foundation*.

#1-GET STARTED

Speak to friends and family about your participation within the Rising Stars Youth Foundation and the impact the organization has on those less fortunate. You can follow the link below to learn more about the Rising Stars mission. http://risingstarsyouthfoundation.com

Kindly ask friends and family to pledge donations so they can help you achieve your fundraising goals. You are looking for sponsors for every MADE free throw. Sponsors can pledge anything from $2 to $10 per basket made or make a one-time DONATION. 

#2-SHOOT YOUR FOUL SHOTS

Find a basket to shoot your 25 foul shots. You do not have to get to the gym to shoot your shots. Find an outdoor basket or a hoop in the driveway. Post photos of yourself shooting and tag @risingstarsyouthorg with #risingstarsshootathonchallenge.

 #3-RECORD YOUR RESULTS

Once you have shot your official 25 free throws, send the number of shots made to tom@risingstarsyouthfoundation.com. Track your individual and team totals to see if you earned one of the prizes.

It’s that simple. 

Last year’s winner raised $4,319 to help fund Rising Stars programs for those in need! Are you up to the challenge? The official Rising Stars Shoot-a-thon Challenge starts March 22 - so secure your donations and start shooting those free throws!

If you were planning to support a player for the Shoot-a-thon, your support is still needed and encouraged.

*If you are uncomfortable participating in the Shoot-a-Thon challenge with the modified individual outdoor shooting, you can choose to participate at a later date.
