As many of you now, last year I became involved with New Heights, an organization which leverages inner city youths passion for basketball to develop skills which help them succeed in the classroom and in life. The organization has a strong track record of cultivating talent on the court and, more importantly, in the classroom. Since 2005, 100% of New Heights student athletes have graduated high school with 98% of those students matriculating to college.
This year I have decided to participate in the 2016 Team Shoot-a-ton on May 14th on the Boys 9U team. I'm hoping you will consider making a one–time donation or pledge to support me in my efforts. I will be attempting 100 free throws and I'm looking for people to sponsor my shots made (if you pledge $1 a shot and I make 50 out of 100, you would donate $50). If any of you have seen me play basketball recently, 50% is aspirational. Keep that in mind when donating.
I am hoping to raise $1,500 in total and all funds raised will go directly to support student athletes.
