The construction sounds on the jobsite have stopped. The silence is magnified. Hôpital Alma Mater's outpatient clinic is in the final stages of construction but in need of funding to move forward!

We need your help. We need our partners, friends and supporters to join together and swing the hammer. A state of the art digital x-ray machine donated to HAM, is outside, unable to begin its use, although it is extremely needed. Imagine the IMAPCT this machine will have for patients and their families.

If we are able to raise $5,000 by June 1st we will be matched dollar for dollar (up to $5,000) and we will be able to send $10,000 to Hôpital Alma Mater!

About Hôpital Alma Mater

Gros Morne, in Northern Haiti, is a city of about 35,000 people with limited access to outside areas due to poor road conditions.

The city is home to Hôpital Alma Mater, a 60-bed hospital founded in 1969 by the local community. Serving not only the city but the larger community of approximately 140,000 people, Hôpital Alma Mater offers an outpatient clinic, inpatient care, surgical services, pediatric and maternity care as well as being the only provider in the area of 24- hour emergency services.

HAM strides to provide world class quality sick and wellness care to every member of the Gros Morne community, while creating a sacred space for health, healing, and hope.

About the Project

Hôpital Alma Mater is currently in the process of expanding and updating the facilities with the construction of a new building that will include a larger outpatient clinic that will allow for new ophthalmology services and expanded dental services, laboratories, x-ray room, emergency rooms, a new pharmacy as well as a classroom for continued education for hospital employees and community partners.
