Team Elevation will host its team wide Shoot-a-thon on July 7th.

During the event every athlete will shoot 50 free throws. We are looking for sponsors for each MADE free throw. You can PLEDGE anything from .25 cents to 10 dollars per basket made or make a one-time DONATION.

-About Team Elevation-

Team Elevation is a non-profit youth basketball program that provides a comfortable safe environment where young athletes are allowed to explore pushing themselves beyond their limits. Elevating their game, confidence, and teamwork to new levels.

Team Elevation was originally based out of South Brunswick NJ as a Travel Basketball team. The program evolved from a travel team to a competitive Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Basketball team as we took a group of young players of all skill levels and gave them a chance to play basketball at a competitive level to showcase their ability to compete.

-Our Story-

Team Elevation was founded by Rex Mangrum and Kelly Murchison in the winter of 2017 to keep their 8th grade boys travel basketball team playing together after the winter season. Rex and Kelly wanted to create a program that not only gave the kids in the community the proper skill development to compete at a high level but also provide the young athletes with life skills to prepare them for the future. In the spring of 2017 they had two boys teams and won 13 championships at local tournaments. Four years later they are the home to 14 teams, 5 girls teams and 9 boys teams, ranging from ages 8-17. They have hosted numerous clinics and camps and continue to grow with amazing partnerships and high level coaches. 

-What the funds will be used for-

The pandemic affected many lives, it crippled the economy, took away our loved ones and forced so many of us to lose jobs. Fundraising is a major part of Team Elevation’s mission so no child ever has to miss being a part of a team or program due to lack of funds. The money raised will be used to help families in need, cover registration fees, provide scholarships to those deserving student athletes as well as offset overhead costs to rent gym space for practices and workouts

When the pandemic hit, we were forced to shut down operations but found creative ways to keep our kids engaged and active through weekly zoom workouts, virtual presentations from trainers, yoga instructors, college recruiters, seminars on financial literacy, educators and high ranking professionals speaking on job readiness. We even conducted a virtual panel discussion on social injustice that included 170 participants.

Team Elevation’s mission is to leverage the sport of basketball to provide a program that educates, inspires, and prepares youth for a positive productive future in life. Team Elevation provides a welcoming atmosphere where student-athletes feel it is safe to push themselves beyond their beliefs. Team Elevation is committed to elevating confidence and believing in oneself by challenging student-athletes to give their best effort every chance they get. We encourage an “anything is possible if you work hard at it” mindset.
