I will be participating in the 5th Annual Team Challenge Shoot-a-thon on May 12th on behalf of New Heights. I'll be embarassing myself on the court by ATTEMPTING 100 free throw shots (granny style) in support of the 6th grade girls basketball team I will be acting as general manager for!
Now here's where you can help. I'm seeking to raise $1,000 to benefit the 11U Girls Team. I'm hoping you will consider making a one–time donation or pledge to support me in my efforts. I will be attempting 100 free throw shots and I'm looking for people to sponsor my shots made or a one time donation.. beacuse lets be honest I likely wont make many... (so if you pledge a $1 a shot and I make 50 out of the 100 attempts, you would donate $50 etc.) All funds raised from my fundraising will go directly to support underprivileged youth.
For those of you not familiar with New Heights, it's a 501(c)3 non–profit educational organization based here in New York City with a mission to educate and empower promising inner–city youth to be leaders, champions and student–athletes by developing the skills necessary for success in high school, college and life. Specifically, New Heights uses basketball as a "hook" to engage young men and women in the program, help them access high quality educational opportunities, and instill in them the values and life skills that will prepare them for success in life beyond sports.
