Thank you for visiting the Sterling College Warriors Basketball Free-Throw-a-Thon campaign page!

We are right in the middle of pre-season conditioning and cannot wait to start official practice on October 4. Our team has big expectations for the coming season. Last season we won both the KCAC Regular Season and Conference Tournament. Along with finishing ranked #12 in the country, we made our third consecutive (19th total) trip to the NAIA National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa. We finished the season 30-1.  

The Sterling College Women’s Basketball 33rd Annual Free-throw-a-thon is the biggest fundraiser for the Lady Warriors.

During the event on Sept 29th, every athlete will shoot 100 free throws. They are asked to each raise at least $400 through donations (flat donation) or pledges ($ per shot). 

We are looking for sponsors for every MADE free throw. You can PLEDGE anything from 2 to 10 dollars per basket made or make a one-time DONATION.

Money raised from the Free-Throw-a-thon helps the team do special things throughout the season, buys first-rate travel gear and bags, pays for quality meals on the road and most importantly aids in making major team trips possible. Without your financial involvement, these purchases, and our trips, would not be possible. 

We are currently planning to play two games in central Florida and make a trip to DisneyWorld in December of 2021. We make a major trip like this every two years and this year of fundraising is crucial to help cover the overall cost of the trip. At some point in a player’s 4-year career, we hope they get to go on at least one of these great, team-building trips.
