Holy Resurrection Brookville will host its 2nd ANNUAL Hoop-A-Thon on September 28th, 2024!

Our Children have joined the effort in fundraising to pay off our Church's Expansion Project! This project, which has been completed, has doubled the size of our Fellowship hall, added four new classrooms, and built a brand-new state of the art Athletic Center.

The impact of the project is monumental in the life of our parish and its youth as we look to provide a space for them to grow in the love of Christ and forge friendships rooted in our faith and culture.

What's a Hoop-A-Thon?

Great Question! A Hoop-A-Thon is a special and dynamic fundraiser where participants shoot hoops and raise money for each shot they make through the generous donations of their sponsors. Simply put, the more baskets made, the more money raised, and the more sponsors, the more the value of each basket.

How does it work?

During the event, each participating athlete will shoot a total of 50 free throws!

On the day of the event players ages 12-18 will have a chance to sign up to shoot 25 3-point bonus shots (must be sponsored or pledged w/free throws)!

The value of each basket depends on the fundraising efforts of each individual. To participate, athletes MUST be sponsored. The more sponsors a participant has, the more each basket will be worth.

Who can be a sponsor?

Anyone can be a sponsor. We encourage our participants to outreach and ask anyone they wish. They can ask family, friends, or even their favorite restaurants or local business for a sponsorship.

A minimum of 25 baskets will be calculated for the pledges.

Guidelines for Athletes:

Boys and Girls ages 7-18

Athletes ages 7-10 yrs old will only be participating in the free-throw contests

Coaches of our teams are invited to join as well as our fellow Clergy!

Father Panteleimon will be participating in a half-court shot competition starting at $10 per shot!

You can PLEDGE anything from $2 to $5 dollars per basket made or make a one-time DONATION.
